Benefits of Raspberries
Raspberries taste great and are highly nutritious. They are low in calories but high in fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants. In other words, raspberries are excellent for heart health, digestion, and immunity.
We can create several interesting recipes using raspberries. Such as a smoothie, sherbert, cookie, scone, pie, cheesecake, muffin, bread, fruit drink, jam, jelly, etc.
By including different types of berries in our diet on a regular basis, we can improve our overall health in a very enjoyable way.
Most importantly, the berries make an excellent snack for diabetic individuals.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Raspberries
- 2 cups Plain Yogurt
- 2 Bananas
- 1 tbsp Honey (Coconut Sugar or Dates)
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 tsp. Chia Seeds
- 6 to 8 Cashews (optional)
- 4 Ice Cubes

Raspberries (saved some for garnishing)...

Place all ingredients (Raspberries, yogurt, bananas, honey, chia seeds, cashews) into the blender jar...

Blend the ingredients into a smooth paste. Adjust the consistency by adding milk and/or ice cubes....

Pour the Raspberry Smoothie into the serving cups or glasses..

Topped with Raspberries and/or Chia Seeds, our gorgeous pink, nutritious, and delicious, Raspberry Smoothie is ready to serve!
Note: Smoothies are pretty easy to create. The flavor of smoothie completely depends upon the flavors/taste/sweetness of the fruit and yogurt. Extra sweetener should be added in moderation otherwise it may overpower the flavor of the fruit. I have added bananas and cashews to reduce the amount of honey and balance the tartness of the berries.
