Paneer In Tomato Gravy

Today’s Paneer In (No Oil) Tomato Gravy recipe is meant to enjoy paneer, keeping your health under control.

Homemade Paneer

Loaded with protein, paneer is quite a versatile and popular dairy ingredient.

It makes all kind of mouthwatering, snacks, curries, salads, pulao, desserts, and delicacies.

Basically, paneer is a firm-spongy form of fresh cottage cheese. It can easily be cut into clean cubes or pieces.

Paneer can be created easily at home by curdling whole milk (preferably cow milk) with lemon, lime, apple cider, white vinegar, citric acid, dried whole red chili, and leftover whey. Once the curdled milk is passed through a cheesecloth, whey is drained out and a ball of fresh cheese remains back in the cheesecloth. This fresh cheese is pressed under heavy weight for good 6 to 8 hours to turn into a firm block of desired thickness and shape.

Thereafter, it’s ready to use for a number of recipes. Fresh paneer tastes mildly sweet with a tender and spongy texture.
